Moving a warehouse while it keeps working
Most businesses can’t stop dispatching for a week. We usually stage a warehouse move by zone: slow-moving stock and spare racking go first, the new site is set up and labelled, then fast-moving lines and packing stations move over a weekend so you can start picking from the new unit on Monday.
Bin locations and stock labels are agreed in advance, so every crate goes straight to its new bay. That makes the stock count afterwards a check rather than a hunt.

Pallets, loading bays and van capacity
Tell us how your stock is stored. Palletised stock needs a forklift or pallet truck and a loading dock or level access at both ends to move as whole pallets; without that, pallets are broken down and hand-loaded, which takes longer and is priced accordingly. Loose and shelved stock is crated and loaded by hand.
A Luton box van carries roughly a tonne, so heavy stock such as paper, tiles or metal parts fills the weight limit long before the space. We plan the number of loads from weight as well as volume, which is why a survey matters for warehouse jobs.
Racking and shelving
Bolt-together shelving and light racking can be dismantled, moved and rebuilt by our crew. Pallet racking systems should be reinstalled or inspected by a qualified racking installer, because beam heights, load ratings and floor fixings all need checking — we can move the components and work alongside your installer.
