Found the perfect sideboard on Facebook Marketplace, a dining table on eBay or a wardrobe on Gumtree — but it’s collection only and won’t fit in your car? Phi Movers collects heavy and bulky marketplace buys from the seller’s address and delivers them to your door, with two people to carry anything one person can’t manage safely.
The most common thing that goes wrong with a marketplace purchase isn’t the van — it’s the item not fitting through your door, or the seller not being home. So we help you get it right before you book: check the measurements against your stairs and doorways, pay the seller directly, agree a collection window, and share the seller’s number with us.
At pickup the crew looks the item over and takes photos before it’s loaded, so you have a record of its condition when it left the seller. It’s then wrapped, carried out, secured in the van and carried into the room you want at the other end. Marketplace collection and delivery starts from £50 across London.
The most expensive marketplace mistake is a sofa or wardrobe that won’t go through your front door. Listing measurements are often approximate, so ask the seller to measure the item themselves — width, depth and height, plus the diagonal depth for sofas — and whether it comes apart.
Then measure your route: the front door, any tight hallway turns, the stairs and the door of the room it’s going into. If the numbers are close, send them to us with photos of the item and your hallway and we’ll give you an honest view before you commit.
Pay the seller directly, through the platform where it offers buyer protection or as you’ve agreed with them — we don’t take payment for the item on anyone’s behalf. Agree a collection window when the seller will definitely be home, and ask whether there’s parking or a loading spot nearby.
When you book, send us the seller’s address and phone number, the collection window, your address and the access at both ends. We confirm a fixed price and call the seller when the crew is on the way. If the seller isn’t there and nobody can release the item, a wasted journey may be charged, so please confirm the time with them first.
Before the item is loaded, the crew looks it over for obvious damage and sends you photos. If it doesn’t match the listing, you can decide whether to go ahead before it’s in the van. It also gives you a record of the item’s condition when it left the seller.
We can’t test electrical items, check for hidden faults or judge whether the price was fair — that’s between you and the seller.
Parcel couriers usually won’t take a dining table, a wardrobe or a cast-iron radiator, and a single driver can’t carry them safely up a flight of stairs. For anything heavy or bulky we send two people, wrap the item, strap it in the van and carry it into the room you want.
Bought several things from different sellers? Tell us when you book — collections can often be combined into one route. For a sofa that won’t go up the stairs, see our sofa hoisting service.

We believe the price you’re quoted should be the price you pay. That’s why every marketplace collection & delivery booking comes with the essentials built in — no surprise charges bolted on when the crew arrives.

We’ve refined our process across London moves every week to keep everything simple and predictable. Here’s exactly what happens from your first enquiry through to completion.
Ask the seller for the item’s width, depth and height, whether it comes apart, and which floor it’s on. Measure your front door, hallway turns, stairs and the room door, and compare. If it’s tight, send us the numbers and photos and we’ll give you an honest view.
Pay the seller directly through the platform or as you’ve agreed — we don’t handle payment for the item. Agree a collection window when someone will be home, and get their phone number and full address.
Send us the seller’s address and number, your address, the item details and the floor and access at both ends. We confirm a fixed price and a collection slot, then call the seller when the crew is on the way.
The crew looks the item over and sends you photos before loading. If it doesn’t match the listing, you can decide there and then. We’ll take a look for obvious damage, but we can’t test electrical items or judge the price.
The item is wrapped, carried out by two people, strapped in the van and delivered. We carry it up the stairs and place it in the room you want, ready to use.
