We start with a survey and inventory, agree part-load or dedicated vehicle options, and pack to the standard your route needs. Export paperwork guidance is part of the conversation so you’re not googling customs rules the night before collection.

Part load or dedicated vehicle?
A part load removal means your belongings share a vehicle with other households heading the same way. You pay for the space you use, which makes it much cheaper for smaller moves — a flat, a few rooms or a student’s belongings. The trade-off is timing: delivery dates depend on when the vehicle fills and the route it takes.
A dedicated vehicle carries only your load, on your dates, directly to your new home. It costs more but suits full houses, tight deadlines and moves where you need collection and delivery on specific days. We’ll price both options where they make sense.

Paperwork for moving belongings to the EU
Since the UK left the EU, household goods crossing the border need customs documentation. Many EU countries offer relief from import duty and VAT on personal belongings when you move your main residence there — often called Transfer of Residence relief — but the conditions vary by country and usually include how long you’ve owned the items and proof of your new address.

What can’t go on a European removal
Flammable items — aerosols, paint, gas canisters, fuel and fireworks — can’t travel on a removal vehicle. Plants and soil face plant health rules when entering the EU, and food, alcohol and tobacco may be restricted or need declaring. Pets, cash, passports and important documents should travel with you, not in the van.
